I'm delighted to have another short story in Beneath Ceaseless Skies this week, and honored that Scott Andrews chose mine to be the 500th story published in the magazine. Go forth and read "The Şiret Mask," aka Ten Pounds of Caper in a Five-Pound Sack! Or listen instead, if that's your preference. And I hope you enjoy it half as much as I enjoyed writing it!

I think I mentioned this to you in email when I sold it, but the existence of this story is due in large part to you linking to a review of Fillibus.

WOO!

[edit] It's good, too.

[edit edit] I like the naming of things (and personae).

I enjoyed it very much. The narrator cracked me up. And once the pleasure of the final twist had subsided, I found all the tantalizing incluing about the culture and history wouldn't go out of my head.

I wondered about that! Not because the setting was excessive to the needs of the story, but just because it was so interesting. That will be fun, then, at least from this side.

That was a deeply entertaining twist, indeed.
