I don’t know why this sloop has red sails, but it made for a different “ship on the water” photo than most of the others I’ve taken — and I do like me some “ship on the water” shots.

That looks like a Galway hooker (húicéir na Gaillimhe), a popular boat in the area with traditional red sails . They're a stunning sight!
