I don’t actually know whether this is a crow or a raven or what. All I know is that it was perching atop one of the rocks of Stonehenge, and I leapt like a mad thing to get this shot before it flapped away.

The ruffliness of the head makes it look more like a raven, but really there's no way to tell. Maybe it is just a wind-blown crow. Totally iconic image, though.

It was definitely windy. So unless somebody knows whether one or the other is more common in that part of Wiltshire, it will remain a mystery forevermore . . . .
