Does your university library have a copy of Victorian Colonial Women's Travelogues: Early British Colonial Rule in East Africa, by Benjamin M.O. Odhoji?

Are you willing to take a brief look at it for me and report back?

If so, ping me. Here or at marie {dot} brennan {at} gmail {dot} com. Stanford's library has for once failed me.

EDIT: I've now heard from two people that the book isn't even listed in Worldcat, so, um, nevermind. <sigh>

No copy at the University of Minnesota libraries: sorry! Hope someone else finds it.

Neither University of Reading Library nor Cambridge University Library have heard of it. It probably hasn't made it across the Atlantic...

Worldcat has two entries for a single article by that author; it doesn't have that particular book listed.

Yes, I was just coming to update the post with that news. Oh well.

I've come across one or two books at my local library that aren't on Worldcat, but it doesn't look good.

I see a book by that title and author on ABE, but copies run at $65 on up. :-(

Yeah, and my need for it is not remotely that large. I'll do without.

It'd still probably be borrowable by interlibrary loan though it could be a wait. The author's webpage lists some of his other papers (though the conference ones tend to link to conference programmes rather than the papers themselves; conference papers are frequently impossible to track down). Easiest way to get more info would be to contact the author; this is common practice in academia though results will likely depend how busy he is.

Looks interesting, though. I agree with the suggestion to ask the author directly.
