Got a delightful e-mail from a reader today, alerting me that he has made a page on Wikipedia for Doppelganger.

It's odd little things like this that convince me, yes, I really am a published author. (Not that I thought the boxes of books were hallucinations or anything, but ya know. It can use reinforcement.)

If you can . . . make it there . . .

There are some cool stages that authors go through.

Seeing your book on the shelves for the first time.
Being asked to autograph one for the first time.
Giving a copy to your parents for the first time.

While some people don't care much for wiki's (mainly the ones who're put up by the non-fans), it's still an interesting thing to see yourself as an entry in an on-line encyclopedia. I have a blurb under the Gauntlet video game entry because I wrote two novels (one published, one unpublished due to the publisher going bankrupt) set in the Gauntlet: Dark Legacy game.

BTW, I just picked up your two books after seeing your entry over on [livejournal.com profile] dsnight's blog. As soon as this semester calms down a bit, they're at the top of the "to be read" list.

Congrats on your accomplishments!

I totally understand the whole "as soon as this semester calms down a bit" thing; you have my sympathies.

Wow...for a stub that's a pretty well-developed and extensive breakdown of the book. If I were running an rpg in the Doppelganger Universe, I could totally use that site!

heh...I'd love to subject you to playing a game run by someone else in your own universe...just to watch your head go sploidy!

If by "watch my head go splody" you mean "get stabbed in the face before I go anywhere near such a thing."

Totally awesome. Shall I keep my eyes open for fanfiction/fan art? I know you can't really see it due to legal ramifactions, but, you know, just to let you know its out there.

That fan went super detailed. I wasn't expecting that.

Heh.

I added your novel to the page about doppelgangers a couple of weeks ago. ;)
