Got a delightful e-mail from a reader today, alerting me that he has made a page on Wikipedia for Doppelganger.
It's odd little things like this that convince me, yes, I really am a published author. (Not that I thought the boxes of books were hallucinations or anything, but ya know. It can use reinforcement.)
If you can . . . make it there . . .
Date: 2006-10-30 11:33 pm (UTC)Seeing your book on the shelves for the first time.
Being asked to autograph one for the first time.
Giving a copy to your parents for the first time.
While some people don't care much for wiki's (mainly the ones who're put up by the non-fans), it's still an interesting thing to see yourself as an entry in an on-line encyclopedia. I have a blurb under the Gauntlet video game entry because I wrote two novels (one published, one unpublished due to the publisher going bankrupt) set in the Gauntlet: Dark Legacy game.
BTW, I just picked up your two books after seeing your entry over on
Congrats on your accomplishments!
