I watch this show because of Dean. We see time after time that all he really wants is his family. And the Impala is the closest thing he has to a home. His reactions resonate with my own injured inner child who will never fully heal from her own rough childhood.
I also think it's really interesting that Dean is the only male character (TV, movies, fiction, non-fiction) that prompts that resonance.
