Not quite the same, no. I've got a piece on "How to Submit a Short Story" (http://www.swantower.com/marie/essays/business/subshort.html) up on my website, though I haven't yet gotten around to writing and posting the companion piece on what to do with novels. But it's a rather different ballgame; for starters, agents are almost never involved.
