I have no idea why rhinestone-covered skulls are a thing all over Paris . . . but they are. This one was on display in a window near the flat we were staying in, and it was easily the most stupendous example of the breed I happened across during my time there.

Huh. I don't remember seeing blingy skills when I was in Paris in 2012. Either I'm stupendously unobservant (always a possible explanation), or this must be a new fad.

Possibly it had to do with time of year? We were there in October.

Oh, yes. I was there in April - skulls wouldn't have been nearly as seasonally appropriate.
