GoT S7 felt like a more natural progression to me than S6 did -- S6 seemed like it pulled its "okay, time to go to Westeros!" climax out of its ear. By contrast, the Big Event at the end of S7 felt to me like multiple Chekhov's guns going off in quick succession.
