Since Livejournal changed their terms of service and the mass exodus began, I haven’t had a single comment on the LJ versions of these posts. Accordingly, I am going to cancel and remove that blog. If you’re still reading via LJ, I suggest you transfer to one of these options:

* the WordPress original (you can subscribe via the widget in the sidebar or checking a tickybox when commenting on a post, or add it to an RSS reader like Feedly)
* the Dreamwidth mirror

I’ll be shutting down the LJ in a few days, so make your changes now!

I'm glad you have a Dreamwidth presence.

Obligatory librarian/archivist comment: have you imported previous comments into DW, and/or downloaded a copy of everything?

My LJ archiving knowledge is a bit rusty-- last time I used ljbook and it worked well (to pdf), but it looks like it's been turned into a paid service now.

If you use a Mac, you can use SiteSucker to download LJ (or any other site); I used it a couple weeks ago and it seems to do an ok job with what it pulled, but I don't know if it got a complete copy of everything since it's designed for regular sites, not LJ. (ETA: Because this is pulling from the open web, it won't save private entries. I was using it to save comms I don't own, so that was fine for me, but presumably won't help with your own journal.)

This has a couple options as well, though I haven't tried them: http://projects.metafilter.com/4988/Livejournal-Archive-Tools (ETA: I tried this one out of curiosity's sake and while it does successfully download the entries, it doesn't seem to grab comments.)

I came here because I was following links to your website (via your AMA) and the links to your old LJ entries on your domain no longer work and I can't find where they are here...

It's on your research pages for your Onyx Court novels, the links to books you either noted or reviewed on the blog. I figured you didn't want to go over the whole blog, but spaces where you linked to the blog from static pages are another issue...
